Am (A minor) Arpeggio for Guitar
An Arpeggio is a broken chord and means that chord tones are played individually rather than sound at once via a strum. The tones in the A minor arpeggio are A (I), C(3rd), and E(5th) tones. There are a number of different methods and approaches to finding and playing arpeggios with the key being utilizing the 3 chordal tones listed above.
The first diagram shows two patterns of the Am arpeggio that can be found on the 13 fret fretboard. The A, C, and E tones that are not part of the arpeggios shown are faded so you can work on identifying other patterns and locations of the A minor arpeggios. There are many.
